About Michelle Mazur

Michelle Mazur has accumulated knowledge about the movement of the body for the last 45 years.Starting as a ballet dancer and developing severe injuries and living in pain of the spine and hips.Visiting orthopedic surgeons monthly then weekly for cortisone injections so she could dance.She eventually developed a series not Auto-immune diseases from the stress and the pain and lack of nutrients from lack of food.She became ill and realized she was not in a good place and had to change how she did life.Someone suggested she go to a yoga class.The class was so difficult because of the stillness it required.That was the beginning of a 25 year journey to a new way of living. She has taught yoga teacher trainings for the last 16 years combined with yoga therapy and Ayurveda.

Michelle is a certified yoga therapist which actually means she is able to adapt a yoga practice to your needs.Meaning if you are suffering from a chronic illness, such as arthritis, cancer, MS, Parkinson’s,PTSD, anxiety, depression,menoupause, hip replacement, shoulder surgery, spine surgery and autoimmune dis-ease She can help.The practice may also involve nutrition, life style, vitamins and herbs, meditation and pranayama, breath control, mudras and mantra. Many or all of these are used with each student I work with.I have mentored many yoga teachers in yoga therapy to help them have more to offer their students. And have taught Yoga therapy trainings for many years.

Ayurveda Practitioner & Consultant

Ayurveda is actually the sister science to yoga. Its 5000 years old and started in the mountains above the Indus Valley in India. A tribe that lived in the mountains were extraordinarily advanced in medicine. Using herbs for wellness and illness, things that were provided by nature.They migrated down to the valley and combined their knowledge with the Indians and it was called Ayurveda, the science of life.Ayurveda looks for a balance between the energy of the mind and of the body to find a balance an equanimity. When the body and mind are not balanced we are opening up to dis-ease.

We work with body constitutions and the time of the year and the seasons to decide how and why we became unbalanced. We use food primarily and herbs and rest and activity and everything that constitutes the make up of a person. I will teach you how to live an Ayurvedic lifestyle. To eat for your Ayurvedic constitution and how to avoid stresses. How to live a quite clean wholesome life in our fast moving society.

LIFE COACH

Michelle Mazur is a Life Coach who takes responsibility for guiding people that are confused on what to do in their lives. She support goal-setting, personal growth, and behaviour modification of their clients. She helps people to achieve their goals by improving different actions necessary to take control of future plans. She is a coach who has the ability to view things from afar in what some call ‘helicopter vision’ and to shed new light on difficult situations. She helps her client to sharpen skills, and motivate.

Yoga teacher

Michelle Mazur is a certified Yoga Teacher who is liable for spreading yogic wisdom, and E-500 hour RYT !000 hour IAYT. Yoga itself is not only a physical practice, but a lifestyle lived off the mat as well. She is a yoga teacher who is tasked with teaching yoga which is often taught within a certain system. Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga as examples, all have their ways of training yogis to teach. She is teaching yoga teacher trainings for 16 years 200 and 300 hour stressing yoga therapy.

Eastern Philosopher

Michelle Mazur is a Eastern Philosopher particularly centered on understanding the process of the Universe and the endless “becoming”. Her teachings focus on the ethical implications of the Buddha’s Four Noble Truths and Noble Eightfold Path. It is also focused on epistemology, or philosophical questions of knowledge.The distinguishing features of Jain philosophy includes a mind-body dualism, denial of a creative and omnipotent God, karma, an eternal and uncreated universe, non-violence, the theory of the multiple facets of truth, and a morality based on liberation of the soul.
